Olive Bonsai Care Guide

01 — GET TO KNOW IT

Meet Your Plant.

The Olive Tree Bonsai brings the timeless beauty of the Mediterranean into a miniature living form. Its silvery-green foliage, textured trunk, and gracefully sculpted branches create a distinctive presence that celebrates the art of nature. Admired for its resilience and enduring character, this elegant tree carries a sense of history and quiet sophistication. With abundant sunlight, careful watering, and attentive pruning, it can remain a beautiful part of your collection for years to come.

02 — AT A GLANCE

Your Care Essentials.

03 — LIGHT & PLACEMENT

Find Its Perfect Place.

Olive Bonsai thrives in full sunlight and needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Choose the sunniest available position, ideally outdoors or beside a bright, sunny window. Insufficient sunlight can lead to leaf drop, weaker growth, and increased susceptibility to pests.

Rotate the pot periodically to encourage balanced growth and even exposure on all sides.

04 — WATERING

A Little Care, Consistently.

Water your Olive Bonsai thoroughly when the soil has dried slightly below the surface. Allow excess water to drain freely and never leave the pot sitting in standing water. During warmer months, check the soil more frequently, as it may dry out faster. Reduce watering during autumn and winter when growth slows.

Water Tip: Water with clean, room-temperature water. Rainwater or filtered water is preferred, especially in areas where tap water quality may vary.

05 — HUMIDITY & TEMPERATURE

Create a Tropical Haven.

Olive Bonsai adapts well to low or moderate indoor humidity and prefers good air circulation. It grows best in mild to warm conditions, ideally between 15–25°C. It can tolerate high summer temperatures when properly watered, but protect it from severe frost and prolonged freezing conditions. Avoid keeping it in a warm indoor space without sufficient sunlight.

06 — FEEDING

Support Healthy Growth.

Feed your Olive Bonsai every two weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid bonsai fertiliser, diluted according to the product instructions. Reduce feeding to once a month during autumn and winter, or pause when growth slows significantly.

07 — Keeping Your Plant at Its Best

Care That Keeps It Thriving.

08 — TROUBLESHOOTING

Read the Signs.

Even with attentive care, Olive Bonsai may occasionally show signs of stress. Understanding these common issues can help you identify their causes, adjust growing conditions, and maintain the health and beauty of your miniature tree.
