01 — GET TO KNOW IT

Meet Your Plant.

Meet the Parlor Palm, an elegant and compact indoor palm admired for its delicate, arching fronds and graceful growth. Its naturally refined appearance and lush green foliage bring a soft tropical touch to interior spaces.

Native to Southern Mexico and Guatemala, this slow-growing palm is particularly valued for its ability to adapt to lower indoor light conditions, making it a beautiful choice for adding greenery to smaller spaces and thoughtfully styled interiors.

02 — AT A GLANCE

Your Care Essentials.

03 — LIGHT & PLACEMENT

Find Its Perfect Place.

Parlor Palm thrives in low to bright indirect sunlight, making it one of the more adaptable indoor palms. A position with filtered natural light is ideal for maintaining healthy, lush green foliage.

Unlike many tropical plants, it can tolerate lower-light conditions, although growth may become slower. Avoid strong direct sunlight, as it can scorch the delicate leaves and cause faded or brown patches.

Placement tip: Choose a position away from harsh afternoon sunlight and rotate the pot occasionally to encourage balanced growth.

04 — WATERING

A Little Care, Consistently.

Parlor Palm prefers lightly moist soil but is sensitive to overwatering and does not tolerate waterlogged conditions.

Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry before watering again. Water thoroughly until excess water drains through the drainage holes, then empty the saucer.

During cooler months, reduce watering frequency as growth slows and the soil takes longer to dry.

Watering tip: Check the soil before watering. Yellowing fronds can indicate several issues, including excessive moisture, poor drainage, or natural ageing.

Water Tip: Water with clean, room-temperature water. Rainwater or filtered water is preferred, especially in areas where tap water quality may vary.

05 — HUMIDITY & TEMPERATURE

Create a Tropical Haven.

Parlor Palm prefers comfortable indoor temperatures between 18–26°C. Protect it from cold drafts, sudden temperature changes, and direct airflow from air-conditioning units.

It adapts well to average indoor humidity, making it suitable for most homes. If the air becomes particularly dry, a humidifier placed nearby can help maintain healthier foliage.

Routine misting is unnecessary and does not provide lasting humidity.

06 — FEEDING

Support Healthy Growth.

Parlor Palm is a light feeder and does not require frequent fertilisation.

Apply a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser approximately every two months during spring and summer, following the product's dilution instructions.

Reduce or pause feeding during autumn and winter when growth naturally slows. Avoid excessive fertilisation, as this can cause leaf-tip damage and salt build-up in the soil.

07 — Keeping Your Plant at Its Best

Care That Keeps It Thriving.

08 — TROUBLESHOOTING

Read the Signs.

Even with proper care, Parlor Palm may occasionally show signs of stress. Understanding these common issues can help you identify their causes, adjust growing conditions, and maintain its graceful, healthy foliage.
