Peace Lily Care Guide 101

01 — GET TO KNOW IT

Meet Your Plant.

With its sculptural white blooms and glossy, deep-green leaves, the Peace Lily brings understated elegance and a tranquil presence to any indoor space.

02 — AT A GLANCE

Your Care Essentials.

03 — LIGHT & PLACEMENT

Find Its Perfect Place.

Peace Lilies grow best in medium to bright, indirect light. They can tolerate lower-light spaces, but growth may slow and flowering may become less frequent. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and cause brown patches.

Rotate your plant occasionally so the foliage receives light evenly. For the best chance of flowering, choose a bright spot away from harsh direct sun.

04 — WATERING

A Little Care, Consistently.

Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist, but never waterlogged. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil begins to dry, adjusting the timing to your room conditions and the season. Water thoroughly until excess drains from the bottom, then empty the saucer. Peace Lilies may droop when thirsty, but try not to let repeated wilting become part of the routine. Prolonged dryness can cause brown leaf tips, while constantly wet soil may lead to root problems. Room-temperature water is a good choice. If your tap water seems to contribute to persistent brown tips, try filtered water and observe whether the plant improves.

05 — HUMIDITY & TEMPERATURE

Create a Tropical Haven.

Peace Lilies prefer comfortable indoor temperatures, ideally around 18–27°C. Protect them from cold drafts, sudden temperature changes, air-conditioning vents, and direct blasts of hot air from heaters. A stable, warm location helps your plant maintain healthy foliage throughout the year.

As a tropical plant, the Peace Lily appreciates moderate to high humidity. Average household humidity is often acceptable, but very dry air can contribute to brown leaf edges.

Increase humidity with a humidifier or group your plant with other houseplants. Misting provides only a temporary effect and is not a substitute for suitable humidity and watering.

06 — FEEDING & MAINTENANCE

Support Healthy Growth.

Feed your Peace Lily with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted according to the product label during active growth in spring and summer. A light feeding schedule is usually sufficient; too much fertilizer can damage roots and cause brown leaf tips.

Reduce or pause feeding during slower winter growth. If the plant has recently been repotted in fresh, fertilized potting mix, wait before adding more fertilizer.

07 — TROUBLESHOOTING

Read the Signs.

Even with good care, your Peace Lily may occasionally show signs of stress. A change in its leaves can offer useful clues about what it needs.

08 — YOUR CARE ROUTINE
