Why Me?

Neem Oil is a natural botanical solution used to help control insects, mites, and fungal issues that affect plant health. It is widely used in organic gardening as a plant-based insect control agent, and is also valued in cosmetic and wellness applications.

Organic gardeners appreciate neem oil for its targeted action against common plant pests while being suitable for use within eco-conscious growing practices when applied correctly.

Our Neem Oil Recipe for Houseplants

Pure Neem Oil concentrate is more potent than ready-to-use sprays and should always be diluted before application to ensure safe and effective use.

Before full use, test on a small area of the plant and wait 24 hours to check for sensitivity or leaf reaction.
Mix 1 teaspoon (5ml) Neem Oil, ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) mild liquid soap, with 1L of warm water to create an emulsified solution.
Apply evenly to both sides of the leaves, stems, and soil surface.
Allow foliage to dry in a shaded area for 24–48 hours before exposing plants to direct sunlight.
Always emulsify Neem Oil thoroughly before mixing with water to prevent leaf burn from concentrated droplets.
Shake well before each use, as natural separation may occur over time.
For prevention, apply every 2 weeks. For active pest control, apply once weekly until the issue is resolved.

Soil Application

Applying Neem Oil as a soil drench helps protect plant roots from common pests such as fungus gnats by disrupting their feeding and reproduction cycle, ultimately reducing their population over time. Always ensure correct dilution and application rates are followed.

Soil can be drenched once a month as a preventative measure, or weekly during active pest infestations.
It is recommended to water plants one day before application to reduce stress and help maintain balanced absorption within the root zone.

Leaf Shine Tip

After spraying, gently wipe leaves with a soft cloth to remove excess residue and enhance natural shine.

Things to Consider

Apply in early morning or evening to avoid strong sunlight and protect beneficial insects.
Do not use during extreme heat, cold, or plant stress (overwatering, underwatering, or after repotting).
Ensure full leaf coverage for effective pest control.
Avoid use on very young seedlings, which may be sensitive to treatment.
