The entire genus of Davallia are ferns commonly known as rabbit's foot fern or hare's foot fern. The name comes from their distinguished furry rhizomes that look like rabbit's foot. These rhizomes tend to climb onto walls, so someone would say they look like spider legs or some alien-like creature.
