Symbolism

Salix Willow is a symbol of recovery from illness, motherhood, receiving a blessing and Spring. Salix Willow is often a crucial component to building the armature (structural shape) of living sculptures.

In Chinese tradition, this represents the coming of prosperity. Towards the Lunar New Year period in spring, stalks of the plant may be bought from wet markets vendors or supermarkets.
